1. Том вирішив приготувати романтичну вечерю для дівчини, яка йому дуже подобалася.	Tom decided to cook a romantic dinner for the girl he really liked.	DID — завершена дія в минулому.
2. Він уже переглянув так багато кулінарних відео, що був упевнений у своєму успіху.	He has watched so many cooking videos that he is sure everything will be perfect.	Present Result + so many — результат важливий зараз.
3. Він купив кілька свіжих овочів і трохи пісного м’яса.	He bought a few fresh vegetables and a little lean meat.	DID + a few / a little.
4. На жаль, він не помітив, що один помідор уже був зіпсований.	Unfortunately, he didn't notice that one tomato was already spoiled.	DID + заперечення.
5. «У мене не так багато часу, але цього буде достатньо», — подумав він.	"I don't have much time, but it will be enough," he thought.	much — незлічуваний іменник.
6. Спочатку він почистив картоплю й дрібно нарізав цибулю.	First, he peeled the potatoes and chopped the onions.	DID.

14. Коли він скуштував соус, той виявився таким солоним, що він мало не заплакав.	When he tasted the sauce, it was so salty that he almost cried.	DID + so.

23. — Я не запізнилася, правда?	"I'm not late, am I?"	Question tag.
24. — Ні... Просто я ще не закінчив готувати.	"No... I haven't finished cooking yet."	Present Result + yet.
25. Вона посміхнулася, бо кухня пахла так смачно, що вона вже зголодніла.	She smiled because the kitchen smelled so delicious that she has already become  hungry.	Present Result so + adjective.
26. Том подумав: «Добре, що вона ще не бачила курку».	Tom thought, "It's good that she hasn't seen the chicken yet."	Present Result.
27. Курка вже не була сирою... але тепер вона була занадто сухою.	The chicken hasn't been raw anymore... but now it has been too dry.	Present Result
28. Він пересмажив її, поки намагався врятувати соус.	He overcooked it while he was trying to save the sauce.	DID.
29. — Можна я чимось допоможу?	"Can I help you with anything?"	Modal verb.

44. — Дуже. Усе виглядає так смачно.	"Very. Everything looks so delicious."	so + adjective.
45. Вона скуштувала трохи соусу.	She tasted a little of the sauce.	DID + a little.
46. Потім вона відрізала кілька шматочків курки.	Then she cut a few pieces of chicken.	DID + a few.
47. Курка була трохи сухою, але овочі були хрумкими й свіжими.	The chicken was a little dry, but the vegetables were crispy and fresh.	a little.
48. — Ти сам усе це приготував?	"Did you cook all this yourself?"	DID — питання.
49. — Так... хоча це було не так легко, як я думав.	"Yes... although it wasn't as easy as I thought."	DID.
